A week end in Jaipur!

Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital, has long been established on tourist itineraries as the third corner of India’s Golden Triangle (along with Agra and Delhi). You will love the city’s colourful and chaotic streets.

Hawa Mahal

At the heart of Jaipur lies the Pink City (also know as the Old City) whose Bazaars rank among the most vibrant in Asia. Be careful though not to go there on Sundays since Bazaars are closed. Yet it can be used as an advantage to get good prices in the only shops that are opened!

Some landmarks are also to be seen, like the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal (or Palace of the Winds), Jantar Mantar and the Iswari Minar Swarga Sal for its city views!

Be smart and buy the composite ticket so that you don’t have to get in the line to enter the landmark and it will cost you much less than if you pay each time! (Includes Amber Palace, Central Museum, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and the Narhargarh).

If you want to get far from the agitation of the city, don’t hesitate to go to Amber to discover its palace. The fort rises from a rocky mountainside about 11km northeast of Jaipur. You will find buses all day in Jaipur to take you there. You can even ride up on elephant back to climb up to the fort.
