Le mois d’ao\u00fbt a d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 sa chaleur tentaculaire sur le Rajasthan. Les touristes, effar\u00e9s, transpirent \u00e0 grosses gouttes en circulant comme des ombres claires et silencieuses \u00e0 travers les divers temples et palais spacieux.<\/p>\n

Mon ami et moi-m\u00eame ne faisons pas exception : le seul moment o\u00f9 nous b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions d’un semblant de fra\u00eecheur est lorsque nous nous calfeutrons \u00e0 l’h\u00f4tel, sous la clim exactement.<\/p>\n

Dans cette \u00e9crasante torpeur, Udaipur fait office de refuge amical. A perte de vue, ses multiples lacs s’\u00e9talent tels des miroirs, sur lesquels glissent quelques barques furtives.<\/p>\n

L’une d’entre elles nous embarque sur le lac Pichola. Apr\u00e8s un stop sur l’\u00eele Jagmandir, o\u00f9 nous savourons un d\u00e9licieux caf\u00e9 frapp\u00e9, direction le city Palace. Ce dernier, agr\u00e9ment\u00e9 de nombreuses tours et de jolis points de vue sur le lac, peut se targuer d’\u00eatre le plus grand palais du Rajasthan.<\/p>\n

Nous terminons par le City Palace Museum, aussi int\u00e9ressant de par les anecdotes qu’il renferme que par l’architecture et les objets qui le composent.<\/p>\n

Udaipur, aussi appell\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0la ville des lacs\u00a0\u00bb, est une cit\u00e9 reposante, une escale conseill\u00e9e pour une pause hors du temps lors d’un voyage au travers du Rajasthan.<\/p>\n
