Dussehra est l’une des f\u00eates populaires c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e dans toute l’Inde le dixi\u00e8me jour du mois Ashvin selon le calendrier hindou. Ce jour tombe soit en Septembre, soit en Octobre. Il est consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la d\u00e9faite du roi d\u00e9mon Ravana par le seigneur Rama. On dit que Rama a tu\u00e9 Ravana ce jour pour se venger du cruel enl\u00e8vement de la d\u00e9esse Sita par Ravana.<\/p>\n

Dussehra est principalement une f\u00eate de l’Inde du Nord. Delhi et Varanasi sont des endroits populaires pour assister \u00e0 cette f\u00eate, mais le festival Mysore Dussehra dans le sud-ouest du pays est particuli\u00e8rement c\u00e9l\u00e8bre, puisque toutes les rues de la ville sont d\u00e9cor\u00e9es des lumi\u00e8res et il y a des spectacles et des foires culturelles organis\u00e9es dans la ville.<\/p>\n

Dans le nord de l’Inde, les pi\u00e8ces de th\u00e9\u00e2tre et des spectacles de danse comme Ramlila<\/strong> sont organis\u00e9es d\u00e9crivant la vie de Rama. Habituellement ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements ont lieu dans la p\u00e9riode pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant le jour Dussehra. Le dernier jour de Dussehra, les 3 statues de Ravana sont br\u00fbl\u00e9es partout en Inde. A Delhi, des dignitaires politiques assiste \u00e0 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement dans le Ramlila Maidan.<\/p>\n

Beaucoup de gens de la confession hindoue f\u00eatent Dussehra \u00e0 travers des r\u00e9unions de pri\u00e8re et des offrandes alimentaires aux dieux chez eux ou dans les temples partout en Inde. Certaines personnes pensent \u00e9galement que c’est un jour de chance pour commencer un nouveau projet, une nouvelle entreprise ou voyage. On c\u00e9l\u00e8bre joyeusement cette f\u00eate, en particulier les enfants qui sont fous de ce festival. On leur ach\u00e8te des diff\u00e9rents jouets comme, par exemple,\u00a0dhanush<\/strong> (arc et fl\u00e8che) et le masque de diff\u00e9rents dieux, etc.<\/p>\n
