Ce festival c\u00e9l\u00e8bre l’anniversaire de naissance du premier gourou et fondateur de la religion sikhe : Guru Nanak Dev. Il tombe le jour de Kartik Purnima<\/em> (pleine lune), le 6 novembre cette ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Cette c\u00e9l\u00e9bration est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme l’une des plus importantes pour les sikhs. Beaucoup d’hindous du nord de l’Inde (Punjab, Cachemire, Delhi, Chandigarh, Himachal, Pradesh) font \u00e9galement la f\u00eate \u00e0 cette occasion.<\/p>\n

\"Festival\"<\/a><\/p>\n

La journ\u00e9e s’articule en trois temps :<\/p>\n

1) Tout d’abord, le prabhat pheris<\/em>, qui consiste en une procession musicale et chantante, a lieu le matin. Cette derni\u00e8re part des Gurdwaras<\/em> (temples sikhs) et se d\u00e9place dans diff\u00e9rentes directions en animant les rues de chants et d’hymnes.<\/p>\n

2) Ensuite, vient la procession de Langar. Un d\u00e9jeuner est sp\u00e9cialement organis\u00e9 par les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles des Gurdwaras<\/em>. Il a g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement lieu dans les temples. Ce grand repas communautaire est organis\u00e9 dans le but de diffuser l’esprit (service) et Bhakti<\/em> (d\u00e9votion).<\/p>\n

3) Dans la soir\u00e9e, les Gurdwaras et les maisons sont enti\u00e8rement illumin\u00e9s avec des lampions, des guirlandes et des bougies.<\/p>\n

Les sikh c\u00e9l\u00e8brent cette f\u00eate dans le monde entier.<\/p>\n
