L\u2019art contemporain a conquis cette ville ainsi que ses habitants et les voyageurs venus du monde entier. La multiplication des galeries d\u2019art, des expositions, des installations artistiques en milieu urbain sont la preuve directe du rayonnement de l\u2019art contemporain \u00e0 Delhi. Parmi ce vaste mouvement artistique, le street art trouve tout particuli\u00e8rement un \u00e9cho dans cette ville. Les fa\u00e7ades des magasins, les indications pour les transports en commun, les rickshaws et les camions sont pour la plupart d\u00e9cor\u00e9s manuellement. Cette enclave du sud de Delhi offre \u00e0 ses visiteurs une exp\u00e9rience visuelle hors du commun. Historiquement connu pour \u00eatre le quartier des designeurs, Shapur Jat a accueilli des dizaines d\u2019artistes en 2014, lors de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition du St+ Art Festival. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement fut un v\u00e9ritable succ\u00e8s. Le projet se renouvela l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante. Des grands noms du street art particip\u00e8rent en 2014 et en 2015, \u00e0 la grande surprise des organisateurs. De nombreux caf\u00e9s tendances ont ouvert leurs portes. Les rues sont devenues toutes oranges ou toutes roses. De grands designers indiens y ont fond\u00e9s leurs maisons de couture.
