\"Lohri<\/a><\/p>\n

L’uns des plus grandes f\u00eates de la r\u00e9gion de Punjab en Inde se produit aujourd’hui : festival de Lohri. C’est l’un des plus populaire festivals sikh et hindou et qui est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 avec de la passion et de l’enthousiasme traditionnels dans la plupart des r\u00e9gions en Inde. Beaucoup de gens pensent que cette f\u00eate est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e \u00e0 l’origine le jour de solstice d’hiver, quand le jour est le plus court et la nuit est la plus longue de l’ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Il y a plusieurs perceptions \u00e0 l’\u00e9gard de la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de ce f\u00eate. Certains disent qu’elle marque la fin de la saison hivernale, tandis que d’autres sont convaincus que c’est la nuit la plus longue de l’ann\u00e9e. Beaucoup d’autres disent que ce jour est un jour de pri\u00e8re pour la bonne r\u00e9colte des c\u00e9r\u00e9ales pour l’ann\u00e9e \u00e0 venir. Et puis il y en a d’autres qui c\u00e9l\u00e8brent cette f\u00eate comme le premier jour de l’ann\u00e9e. Quelles que soient les perceptions, c’est l’un des merveilleux moments du d\u00e9but de l’ann\u00e9e pour les Indiens !<\/p>\n

Le jour de Lohri dans certains villages de Punjab les enfants font de porte \u00e0 porte en chantant et en demandant de l’argent et de la friandise comme des graines de s\u00e9same, des cacahu\u00e8tes, des bonbons (gajak, rewri, etc). Ils chantent \u00e0 la gloire de\u00a0Dulha Bhatti, un avatar penjabi de Robin de Bois qui volent aux riches pour aider les pauvres.<\/p>\n

Lohri festival est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 le 13 janvier, mais parfois la date peut varier. Il est particuli\u00e8rement important pour les nouveaux-n\u00e9s et les couples tout juste mari\u00e9s dans les familles de Punjab. Le soir quand le soleil se couche, on allume d’\u00e9normes feux devant les maisons et les gens se rassemblent autour de ces flammes montantes, encerclent le feu (parikrama<\/strong><\/em>) et jettent du riz soufl\u00e9, du popcorn et d’autres petit creux dans le feu. Apr\u00e8s le parikrama, les gens vont voir leurs amis et les parents, s’\u00e9changent des voeux et des cadeaux, distribuent prasad<\/strong><\/em> (offrandes faites aux dieux). Les mets sal\u00e9s d’hiver sont servis autour du feu lors du traditionnel dinner de\u00a0makki-di-roti (pain multigrain roul\u00e9 \u00e0 la main) et de\u00a0sarson-da-saag (herbes \u00e0 la moutarde).<\/p>\n

Dans le Sud de l’Inde, Lohri est appel\u00e9 Pongal festival<\/strong> et est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 peu de temps apr\u00e8s celui du Punjab par les Tamouls.<\/p>\n
