Cochin, a historical place to be

Cochin is one of the most touristic place in India thanks to its eclectism and its multicultural past. Although some visitors hope to stay in the modern Ernakulam, the overwhelming majority base themselves in the old Fort Cochin, where the city’s complex history is reflected in its architecture. There are many places you will love : the spice market in jew town or the Chinese fishing nets in the North of Fort Cochin where you can buy your fish and make it cook in the street. If you want to get far from the agitation of the city, you can book a taxi to Allapey where you can enjoy the quiet of the backwaters. If you are lucky, your guide will make you visit some shells factory or a coco fibre weaving manufactory and you will try a special meal from Kerala.
