Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival 2015 edition


After its electrifying 1st edition in 2014, [inlinetweet prefix=”” tweeter=”” suffix=””]The Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy festival is coming back to Jodhpur for another three days of musical magic[/inlinetweet]. Between the 3rd and 5th of April 2015, worldwide known musicians will play together in the prestigious Mehrangarh Fort, 400 mt above the city. The diverse group of performers will showcase the evolution of flamenco and Gypsy tradition. They will also play new and progressive music written in collaboration especially for the JFG festival.

It will highlight the rich heritage of Rajasthan and the importance of keeping folk music alive, as well as presenting a more contemporary view of desert music and dance. Moreover the event promoters want to draw attention to the fact that the root of gypsy culture originates in India.
